In 1984 Ferrari produced a street-legal car with incredible raw perormance and beauty with a 2.8 liter twin turbocharged V8 and power output of 400bhp, the Ferrari 288 GTO (Gran Turismo Omologata).

For the FISA Group B racing, it was necessary for Ferrari to homologate 200 customer cars of which a total of 272 cars were eventually built.
What is unique is that none of the 288 GTO's were ever imported to the U.S. by Ferrari North America so only special orders with authorized Ferrari dealers who were required to Federalize the special order cars made it to the U.S. making this a very rare car here.
